According to the data compiled by the Ministry of Education as of 12 p.m. today, 1,660 out of 4,520 kindergartens, elementary, middle, and special schools in Gyeonggi Province, 36.7% adjusted their academic schedules.
1,285 schools, or 28.4 percent, were closed and 375 schools adjusted their school or school hours.
Kindergartens were the most closed schools with 634, followed by 447 elementary schools, 108 middle schools, 95 high schools, and one special school.
There were no casualties at the school site due to heavy snow, but 13 trees fell and 46 fences were damaged, and 8 places were confirmed to have suffered power outages.
