The Democratic Party is raising the level of the rental offensive to the highest level, expanding the impeachment offensive to the head of the Board of Audit and Inspection.

The ruling party says the Democratic Party's addiction to impeachment has gone too far and is urging the party to stop illegal impeachment immediately.

Choi Hae-soo, chairman of the Board of Audit and Inspection, expressed his position unusually at the National Assembly, where he visited to attend the meeting.

I'm connecting you with a reporter from the National Assembly. Reporter Park Jung-hyun.

The Democratic Party of Korea officially pushed for the impeachment of the Board of Audit and Inspection (BAI) Chairman Choi Sang-soo yesterday, right?

[Journalist]
Yes, that's right.

This is the first impeachment of the Board of Audit and Inspection in constitutional history.

The Democratic Party of Korea is citing poor audits related to the relocation of the president's residence and perjury of the National Assembly, where suspicions of Kim Gun-hee's involvement were mentioned, as reasons for impeachment.

The plan is to report it at the plenary session of the National Assembly on the 2nd of next month and then decide two days later.

In response, Choi, who appeared before the National Assembly Budget Committee a little while ago, told reporters that he was very sorry for the political impeachment that undermined the foundation of the constitutional order.

Regarding the Democratic Party's raising of the issue of poor audit, he said, "The investigation was just included in the report as it is, the audit according to laws and principles," and stressed that it was not a failure to find a connection with Kim, but a failure to confirm it.

The perjury issue was also difficult to admit because I thought I answered faithfully in the parliamentary audit and I did not present exactly what I perjured.

At the same time, he drew a line that he was not willing to resign on his own.

The ruling party criticized it as the 10th impeachment prosecution in the 22nd National Assembly, calling it an attempt to neutralize the government and a rampage.

At the morning meeting, floor leader Choo Kyung-ho called it a sneaky plan to suspend Choi's duties and have an auditor appointed by the Moon Jae In government lead the Board of Audit and Inspection to make it an organization under the Democratic Party.

At the same time, he asked if it was a clear retaliation for the Moon Jae In government's audit of deep-rooted evils, such as the early closure of Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant No. 1 and the leakage of military secrets from THAAD.

At the same time as the Democratic Party of Korea's impeachment, the level of the special prosecutor's offensive is also increasing

[Reporter]
Yes, the Democratic Party yesterday passed a revision to the ruling party's rules for the special prosecution, which excludes the right to recommend special prosecutors if the president and his family members are subject to investigation.

The revision of the National Assembly's operating rules is not subject to the president's right to request reconsideration,
The standing special prosecutor law
states that the president should appoint one person within three days after the candidate is recommended,
The
Democratic Party is raising its standards, saying that failure to comply is a violation of the law and constitutes a reason for impeachment of the president.

However, the Democratic Party of Korea seems to be considering the operation of a permanent special prosecutor by looking at the situation until the plenary session on the 10th, when the re-decision of the Special Prosecutor's Act by Kim Gun-hee is raised.

As the ruling party's internal strife is unusual due to the controversy over the party's bulletin board, the strategy is to dig into the cracks of division and seek to maximize the number of leave votes until the re-vote,

At the morning meeting, Park Chan-dae, the floor leader, said the ruling party's situation, which was in chaos due to factional fighting, was embarrassing and pathetic, and aimed at Han Dong-hoon, the only way to live was to separate from the president and his wife.

Rep. Park Joo-min also claimed on the radio that after the Yoon-Han meeting, a close-knit lawmaker came and suggested that Kim's special counsel law open the door for negotiations.

First of all, the government plans to strongly respond to the revision of the rules of the permanent special prosecution by using all legal means, such as a power dispute trial or a constitutional petition to the Constitutional Court.

Excluding the ruling party in the process of recommending the independent counsel candidate is unconstitutional, but an official from the floor leadership said in a call that they plan to take steps as soon as they are ready.

However, right now, the re-decision of the Special Prosecutor's Act on the 10th is at stake.

As the emotional battle between factions intensified over the party's bulletin board controversy, the floor leaders proposed a ceasefire,

However, the controversy is unlikely to subside easily as the pro-Yoon-gye, who said, "It's enough if one of the representatives makes a clean statement and moves on," and the close circle, who are continuing to attack, are confronting each other about what kind of ceasefire proposal is.
