Although snow has subsided, temperatures have fallen in most parts of the country today (29th), increasing the risk of strong winds and cold.

I'll connect with a reporter from the Ministry of Public Administration and Security to find out more about the news. Reporter Kim Hyunah!

Please tell me the situation that has been counted so far.

Yes, if you look at the data as of 6 a.m., the total number of casualties caused by this heavy snow is five.

In addition, 439 people in 264 households have been evacuated, and 384 people have yet to return home and are staying in temporary facilities such as village centers.

In particular, in Gyeonggi Province, where the damage was severe, 97 kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools were closed, and 147 schools adjusted their commuting hours.

Property damage caused by this heavy snow increased from 20 to 27 as of 11 o'clock yesterday.

In addition, 180 flights were canceled and 76 ferries were stranded.

The damage from the power outage was also large, but 95% of the total 189 cases have been restored.

Fortunately, the central countermeasure headquarters was lifted and the crisis warning fell to the level of 'interest' as the heavy snow began to lull from yesterday afternoon.

However, as the road is frozen due to a sudden cold wave, you should be careful about safety accidents on icy roads and alleys that have not yet completed snow removal.

Drivers should also pay attention to the thin ice on the road and drive safely.

At the same time, most flights are normalizing today, but not a few routes have been delayed due to cancellations and delays over the past two days, so passengers should check the flight time well.

I'm Kim Hyunah of YTN from the nationwide department.
