Russian Defense Minister leaves Pyongyang after 2 days and 1 night visit to North Korea

Russian Defense Minister Andrei Bellowsov has completed a two-day visit to North Korea.

North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reported today (1st) that a Russian military delegation led by Minister Bellowsov left Pyongyang yesterday.

Minister Bellowsov, who arrived in Pyongyang on the 29th of last month, met with Defense Minister Noh Kwang-chul and also paid a courtesy visit to Chairman Kim Jong-un, who treated the Russian delegation with utmost sincerity, including attending welcoming performances and banquets in person.

In addition, North Korean media reported that the North Korea-Russia Defense Ministers' Meeting discussed strengthening militant unity and strategic and tactical cooperation between the two countries' armed forces.

Although no specific consultations between the two countries have been reported, military cooperation measures such as additional North Korean troop dispatch, weapons aid, and Russia's payment are likely to have been discussed.
