The Ministry of Public Administration and Security said it will operate integrated support centers in southern Gyeonggi Province from today (2nd) and guide residents' life safety, such as financing for facility restoration and suspension of national pension payments.
In addition, an investigation team will be urgently dispatched to the affected areas to check the extent of the damage, and to determine whether the government supports the national treasury or meets the criteria for declaring special disaster areas by estimating the amount of damage.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety explained that as a result of the preliminary damage investigation, areas that meet the requirements will be declared as special disaster areas first to quickly support the victims.
