Uljin Maritime Police Station is conducting a search after receiving a report that they could not contact their family members who were fishing on a 0.6-ton leisure boat in waters off Jiksan Port, Pyeonghae-eup, Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do, at around 8 p.m. yesterday (1st).
The three people on the leisure boat reportedly departed from Uljin Direct Port at around 1 p.m. yesterday.
The Coast Guard has mobilized patrol ships and aircraft and requested support from military and civilian rescue teams to search the site, but has yet to find a crew member.
