As the tax base approaches, warm hands of sharing are also decreasing in the aftermath of the economic recession.

In Ulsan, 1,400 volunteers from all over the country made 80 tons of kimchi together to share with their neighbors in need.

Reporter Oh Tae-in went to the scene.

A huge table filled the ballpark.

Volunteers seated at each table mix the seasoning with the appropriately pickled cabbage.

It's hard to make kimchi outdoors in cold weather, but it's a place where many people put their heart and soul together, so smiles spread on your face.

More than 1,400 volunteers participated in making kimchi.

We gathered in 17 cities and provinces nationwide to practice warm neighborhood love.

[Kim Soon-ok / Volunteer of Incheon Metropolitan City] It's rewarding. I feel energized and I feel like I'm living well. I hope I can call you again next time. Our volunteers are so happy.]

Eight companies in Ulsan also played a big role in making kimchi.

Companies sponsored materials and costs, and executives and employees came out to help.

[Lee Ha-soo / BNK Kyungnam Bank Ulsan Sales Headquarters Public Relations and Social Contribution Team: I think this is the first time that companies in Ulsan are gathering together. Please share meaningful kimchi with many people during the year-end and New Year's holidays and have a healthy year.]

80 tons of kimchi made on the site is delivered to social welfare facilities and disadvantaged neighbors across the country.

[Kim Doo-gyeom / Ulsan Mayor: I hope it will be an opportunity to deliver hope to the people in need as much as kimchi made in Ulsan with a warm heart]

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security, which organized the event with Ulsan City, plans to spread volunteer and sharing activities across the country by the 6th, when the two-week kimchi week ends.

Difficult neighbors, who were worried about kimchi for winter due to rising cabbage prices, put their worries down by the warm hands of the government, local governments, and companies.
