On Upbit, a local cryptocurrency exchange, 1 Bitcoin was trading at 129.5 million won, down more than 3 percent.
Bitcoin's price, which had been going up and down from 130 million won, once plunged to 88 million won immediately after the martial law was declared and then decreased.
Ripple and other coins such as Dogecoin and Ethereum also fell significantly.
Meanwhile, as the number of users on the coin exchange suddenly increases, there are even connection failures in Upbit and Bithumb.
