Kim Sang-wook, a member of the People's Power, said in an interview with MBC radio that he thought it was impossible to carry out a normal presidency in his personal opinion, adding that emergency martial law has many unconstitutional and illegal elements.
He pointed out that although further consideration is needed on whether to apply the crime of rebellion, there are serious defects because there are not enough procedures or reasons for martial law, seriously threatening the foundation of democracy.
He also said, "I think it is inevitable for President Yoon to leave the party or be expelled," adding, "If the resolution is not reached at the general meeting of lawmakers, there will be internal strife in the ruling party according to his belief."
