People's Power Rep. Ahn Cheol Soo urged President Yoon Suk Yeol to take responsibility for the situation and step down from the presidency.

Ahn said on his SNS, "President Yoon's declaration of illegal martial law failed," pointing out that it is a constitutional violation and a disgrace to the political history of the Republic of Korea.

President Yoon, who attempted to destroy the constitution, said he should apologize to the people immediately, stressing that the resignation of the cabinet and the president's departure are not enough.

He argued that the ruling and opposition parties should agree on an orderly solution to the national crisis in line with the Constitution and the public's perspective rather than political disadvantages, and that the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties should meet as soon as possible to gather opinions on the formation of a national neutral cabinet and a new political schedule.
