People's Power lawmakers are continuing long-term discussions to deal with the aftermath of the emergency martial law crisis.

However, the pro- and pro-Yoon positions are mixed over the issue of "Leaving the President" proposed by representative Han Dong-hoon, which is another spark of factional conflict.

A general meeting of members of the People's Power held early in the morning to discuss countermeasures after the lifting of the emergency martial law.

The meeting lasted nearly four hours, but no clear conclusion was reached.

Earlier, representative Han Dong-hoon proposed the dismissal of Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun, who was pointed out as the person responsible for the martial law incident, the resignation of the cabinet, and the defection of the president.
Contrary to the previous two demands,
failed to narrow differences after discussions over the issue of leaving the president.

[Han Dong-hoon / Representative of People's Power: There are many opinions on the third proposal (request for the president to leave the party), so the general meeting has tentatively concluded that they will continue to listen to the opinions.]

In a closed-door parliamentary meeting, many lawmakers, including pro-Yoon-gye, reportedly expressed negative intentions to defect the "No. 1 party member" president.

The president's defection is a step toward impeachment, and there has been a backlash that it is being dragged into the opposition strategy.

Referring to the impeachment of former President Park Geun Hye in the past, there were also remarks to the effect that it should be considered in terms of re-creation of the government.

On the other hand, pro-Lee Dong-hoon lawmakers supported Han, saying that leaving the party is the minimum line of defense to prevent impeachment.

Some in the party have called for stronger reform measures such as leaving the party, resigning from the party, and shortening the term of office.

In the end, the general meeting of lawmakers was organized without a conclusion, saying that the first thing to do is to understand the president's intentions.

However, some point out that the ruling party's response has once again become far from the public's view as it has repeatedly revealed rupture among factions over the emergency martial law settlement plan.
