The police summoned Kim Joon-young, head of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, in connection with the police's deployment to the National Election Commission at the time of the emergency martial law.

The National Investigation Headquarters' Special Investigation Team on Emergency Security is investigating Kim Joon-young, head of the Gyeonggi Southern Police Agency, as a reference at 2 p.m. today (11th).

The special team is expected to check in detail how police forces were put into the NEC when the emergency martial law was declared on the 3rd.

Earlier, National Police Agency Commissioner Jo Ji-ho said he contacted Commissioner Kim after receiving a call from Yeo In-hyeong, the counterintelligence commander, who was heading to the NEC after martial law was declared.
