A teacher who committed sexual violence on as many as 1,000 children in Thailand has been sentenced to 129 years in prison.

Thailand's Special Investigation Bureau, DSI, said a Bangkok teacher was sentenced to 129 years in prison in a Pitsanuluk court over a child sexual abuse case, local media outlet Nation reported.

The court ordered the victim's boy and mother to pay 1.5 million baht and 650,000 baht, and 64 million won and 28 million won in our money, respectively, for crimes committed when the teacher worked in the northern state of Pisanuluk.

The 32-year-old teacher, who was arrested in June, was found to have conspired with a model agency representative to commit "grooming" and sexual assault crimes against children.

Grooming refers to the act of approaching children and adolescents, taming victims, and sexually exploiting them.

The teacher confessed to sexually assaulting a child in various places in the school, including toilets and audiovisual rooms, and in cars.

The DSI said there was evidence to show that there could be more than a thousand victims of sexual violence against the two.

Danudet was previously sentenced to 139 years and seven months after he was found to have more than 500,000 pictures of child sexual abuse.

Authorities have identified the teacher's presence and expanded their investigation in the process of investigating him, and are identifying another victim based on photos.
