The Ministry of National Defense, Gangwon Province, and the Council for Win-Win Development of the Border Area...5-year extension operation

The Ministry of National Defense and Gangwon State held the "10th Ministry of National Defense-Gangwon State Mutual Development Council" in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do today (12th).

The ministry said the two sides discussed seven agendas at the meeting, including exchanging property owned by local governments and the Pentagon and suggesting the sale of idle land not used by military units.

It also said that the council, which has been running for five years since 2019, has been agreed to extend its operation for the next five years and will maintain close cooperation.

The Win-Win Development Council is a consultative body formed according to the agreement signed by the Minister of National Defense, the Governor of Gangwon-do, and five counties near the border of Cheorwon, Hwacheon, Yanggu, Inje, and Goseong-gun.
