Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the main opposition Minjoo Party of Korea, said yesterday that the public statement clearly showed why President Yoon Suk Yeol should be impeached and excluded from his duties immediately.

Speaking to reporters before the plenary session of the National Assembly, Lee said, "President Yoon's statement made a lot of people miserable."

Representative Lee pointed out in a public statement that he himself proved that impeachment of the president is essential for the safety of the country and the people, not political parties.

In particular, President Yoon refuted President Yoon's claim that emergency martial law was an act of governance, saying that the act of governance is also within the scope of the law, and that civil war crimes cannot be an act of governance.
