As Russia's threat to Europe grows, NATO and NATO members are preparing preparations, including increasing defense spending.

There was even a warning that the way of thinking should be changed from peacetime to exhibition.

Using the Russian threat, the head of NATO brought it up in front of European security experts.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutter said Russia was trying to remove Ukraine from the map and warned it could be the other part of Europe next time.

[Marc Rutter / Secretary-General of NATO] We are not ready for what is coming for us in four or five years. The danger is approaching us at full speed. What's happening in Ukraine can happen here as well.]

Russia, which has expanded its front lines to Ukraine following the invasion of Georgia in 2008 and the annexation of Crimea in 2014, is preparing for a long-term confrontation with Europe.

He stressed the need to increase defence spending more in preparation for Russia's threat to fundamentally change Europe's security landscape.

[Marc Rutter / NATO Secretary-General] We need to increase our military and defense spending as much as possible. I'm sure this is the top priority.]

NATO European member states are also rushing to prepare countermeasures with the possibility of Russian provocations in mind.

Despite fiscal pressure, we are increasing our defense spending and strengthening our border defense posture.

Britain's Financial Times reported that NATO European members are discussing raising their defense spending target to 3% from 2% of GDP by 2030.
