More than 300 Koreans and international students held candles, cheering sticks, and homemade signs in a park near the Korean Embassy in England on the evening of the 13th local time and shouted, "Impeach Yoon Suk Yeol."
The Korean-British Candlelight Rally, formed by Koreans in London, said in a statement, "This martial law incident is a riot that directly undermines the basic values of democracy," and condemned, "The international trust and dignity of the Republic of Korea have been seriously damaged."
Participants also held a silent performance for one minute and 23 seconds, denouncing President Yoon's declaration of emergency martial law on December 3.
On the 10th, more than 200 international students from 14 universities in London announced a declaration of the current situation.
