The general meeting of lawmakers, which began at 10 a.m., has been going on for nearly four hours.

Lunch is solved with lunch boxes and various opinions are being shared, especially with the persuasion of lawmakers who oppose the impeachment bill.

Ahead of the first round of voting, the ruling party decided to oppose the party's theory, or "no vote," and chose to "not participate" in the vote to prevent possible departure votes.

Within and outside the party, there were growing calls for at least a vote, regardless of whether they were in favor or against it, and floor leader Kwon Sung-dong also reportedly expressed his personal opinion at the general meeting that "let's go to the polls."

It seems that the decision to participate in the vote and calm public opinion was at play.

Representative Han Dong-hoon, who publicly proposed to make "pro-impeachment" a party platform, also attended the general assembly of lawmakers on the 12th.Representative

On top of that, seven lawmakers, including Kim Ye-ji, Cho Kyung-tae, Kim Jae-seop, Jin Jong-oh, and Han Ji-ah, have openly joined the approval procession.

As it is an anonymous vote, it is predicted that there will be more lawmakers who will vote for their conviction once they enter the polling place.

If the ruling party participates in the vote, the leave vote is of interest, but please organize the conditions for passing the impeachment bill.

In order for the impeachment bill to be passed, at least two-thirds of the registered lawmakers must approve it.

It requires the consent of more than 200 out of 300 members of the National Assembly.

The pan-night district has 192 seats, and 108 lawmakers belong to the ruling party, the People's Power.

When all opposition parties vote in favor, it is passed if more than eight people agree in the power of the people.

In the first round of voting last week, the impeachment bill was abolished because the ruling party's absence prevented the quorum from being established, but if the impeachment bill crosses the threshold of the National Assembly today, President Yoon's duties will be suspended immediately.

How many hours do we have before the vote?

The plenary session of the National Assembly starts at 4 p.m., so it's two hours away.

The opposition initially announced a vote at 5 p.m.

However, the National Assembly speaker's office explained that it has advanced the time as it is a serious and serious issue nationally.

The impeachment bill was proposed by six opposition parties, including the Democratic Party.

As in the first round, the second impeachment bill stipulated "emergency martial law in violation of the Constitution and laws" as the reason for impeachment.

However, things that are not directly related to martial law, such as Kim Gun-hee's stock price manipulation or allegations of manipulation of public opinion in the presidential election, were excluded.

The additional reasons for impeachment include the situation in which martial law forces occupied the National Election Commission or attempted to arrest lawmakers.

There were also allegations that he tried to make room for politicians and journalists in the Seoul Eastern Detention Center.
