Tensions are rising around the presidential office as the second impeachment vote, which will determine the fate of the regime, is only two hours away.

President Yoon Suk Yeol will watch the vote at his official residence as he did last week, and attention is being paid to whether he will make an additional position after the results.

I'm connecting with the reporter. Reporter Shin Yoonjung!

The vote will begin in about two hours, and President Yoon is staying at his Hannam-dong residence?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is.President

Yoon has been coming to the president's office only when he made a public statement since the announcement and lifting of the emergency martial law.

Today, he will be briefed on the situation of the National Assembly at his residence and watch the voting process live on TV.We are also interested in whether President Yoon will make a position after the voting results

On December 9, 2016, shortly after the impeachment bill was passed, President Park Geun Hye called the members of the State Council to hold a final meeting and expressed his feelings.

Although it is a weekend, most of the presidential office employees have been working on an emergency work system since early morning, such as weekdays.

While refraining from communicating with the media as much as possible, the meeting was presided over by Chief of Staff Jeong Jin-seok in the morning to check preparations after the vote on the impeachment motion.

In particular, it seems that the ruling party is closely watching the party's opinions on the pros and cons of the impeachment bill and whether it will participate in the vote.

Then, what happens to the situation after the National Assembly vote?

[Reporter]
If the impeachment motion is passed, the president's exercise of authority will be suspended as soon as the impeachment resolution is delivered to the presidential office here in Yongsan.

Eight years ago, it took about an hour and seven minutes for former President Park to vote from the beginning of the vote to the vote, and the prosecution's resolution was delivered to Cheong Wa Dae within three hours of passing the National Assembly.

If the impeachment bill is passed, President Yoon will not be able to perform his duties for up to 180 days until the results of the Constitutional Court's impeachment trial come out.President

Yoon can live in Hannam-dong's official residence as long as he maintains his status as president even if he is suspended from office, and he will also maintain respect for the president, such as official cars and security guards.

If the impeachment bill is passed, President Yoon is expected to actively respond to the investigation into the alleged rebellion with the Constitutional Court judge.

In the fourth statement on the emergency martial law two days ago, he also vowed to fight to the end, whether impeached or investigated.

It is also expected to consider the fact that the Constitutional Court did not respond to the prosecution and the independent counsel's investigation during the impeachment of former President Park Geun Hye and that it was not willing to protect the constitution.

If the impeachment bill is rejected by the National Assembly or discarded because it does not meet the quorum of votes as it did in the vote a week ago, President Yoon will maintain all his powers as president.
