Foreign Ministry talks with U.S., Japan, China... "Foreign policy stance remains unchanged"

When President Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment bill was passed by the National Assembly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed to the U.S., Japanese, and Chinese embassies that there would be no change in South Korea's foreign policy stance.

In a notice to the press corps, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman' office said Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yeol met with U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Philip Goldberg this evening (14th) and explained the domestic situation, including the approval of the president's impeachment.

The two sides agreed to continue to communicate closely for the development of the ROK-US alliance.

In addition, Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Hong-kyun met with Japanese Ambassador Koichi Mizushima, and Deputy Foreign Minister Jeong Byung-won met with Chinese Ambassador to Korea Fang Kun, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
