The National Police Agency's National Investigation Headquarters Special Investigation Team said it has confirmed that more than 1,500 soldiers, including ordinary soldiers, have been mobilized in the emergency martial law incident.
Its members include the Ministry of National Defense, the Army Headquarters, the Capital Defense Command, the Special Warfare Command, the Counterintelligence Command, and the Intelligence Command.
However, a police official explained that there is a possibility that the number of people may increase further if further investigations are conducted.
In this regard, the police also said they called in 43 active-duty soldiers, including martial law commander Park An-soo and intelligence commander Moon Sang-ho.
