"Turkiye has military cooperation with many countries and has signed training agreements," Güler told reporters when asked if he considered military cooperation between the two countries. "We are ready to provide the necessary support if the new Syrian administration asks for it."
"The administration that overthrew Al-Assad has announced that it will respect all government agencies and international organizations such as the United Nations," he said. "We need to see what the new administration does and give them a chance."
"In the new era, terrorist organizations such as the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the Kurdish People's Army (YPG) will soon be disbanded in Syria, and the new administration in Syria and we both want it," he said.
"We have communicated to the United States that the most important issue for us in Syria is the dissolution of terrorist organizations such as PKK and YPG, and we look forward to them re-evaluating their position," he said.
"Have you heard of terrorist attacks in Syria over the past three years by Islamic State (IS)," Güler said. "The United States has cooperated with terrorist groups PKK and YPG to fight against Daesh, but we cannot mobilize other terrorist groups to fight terrorist groups."
