Military to dismiss detained Yeo In-hyeong counterintelligence commander soon

Regarding the December 3 emergency martial law, the process of dismissing Yeo In-hyeong, the commander of the Defense Security Command, who was arrested on charges of engaging in important missions of civil war, will soon proceed.

A defense official said the process of dismissing Yeo In-hyeong, the commander with the arrest warrant, will begin within this week.

The other commanders explained that if an arrest warrant is issued, they will be in the same process of dismissing their positions.

Tomorrow, the actual examination of the arrest warrant for Special Forces Commander Kwak Jong-geun and Defense Commander Lee Jin-woo will be conducted.

Article 17-4 of the Enforcement Decree of the Military Personnel Act stipulates that soldiers who are arrested for misconduct related to their duties and cannot perform their duties will hold a dismissal review committee within 7 days of dismissal.
