Nearly half of Americans expressed opposition to Trump's pledge to raise tariffs, with only a quarter of those in favor.

According to a CNBC poll, a cable network specializing in economics, 42% of all respondents opposed the tariff hike, with only 27% approving it.

In addition, only 26% approved pardoning those involved in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, and 50% disapproved.

However, 54% said they were ready to support Trump's second term, while 60% and 59% said the deployment of troops at the border to prevent illegal immigration and drugs and personal tax cuts should be implemented first, respectively.

The poll was conducted on 1,011 adults in the United States from the 5th to the 8th, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points.
