Kwon Sung-dong, acting chairman and floor leader of the People's Power, proposed a meeting with Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea.

An official from the floor leader's office said Kwon offered Lee a meeting in the afternoon and is waiting for a response.

If the talks take place, acting Kwon is expected to ask for opposition cooperation for the appointment of the defense minister and the police chief, as well as measures to settle the political situation after the impeachment of President Yoon.
