After the president's impeachment, the people's power is struggling not to lose control of the political situation along with the resolution of the party's internal strife.

Former representative Han Dong-hoon resigned after saying, "I will not give up," and the party raised the check level by urging a "quick ruling by representative Lee Jae-myung."

The Democratic Party of Korea has repeatedly demanded that the ruling party participate in the National Security Council, criticizing it as a party that has no remorse.

Former CEO Han Dong-hoon's remarks at the press conference, please tell us more!

[Reporter]
Regarding the background of the resignation, former CEO Han Dong-hoon explained that the resignation of the Supreme Council members caused the collapse of the leadership, making it impossible for him to carry out his duties as a representative.

However, even if the president is produced by the party, it is the spirit of true conservatism that has taken the lead in preventing illegal martial law, and he has made it clear that he does not regret voting for impeachment.

However, he also did not forget the check against Representative Lee Jae-myung, saying that martial law is not justifying the Democratic Party's runaway.

Let's hear former CEO Han's remarks.

[Han Dong-hoon / All People's Power Representative: That night, I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to stop it. It's painful to think of our heartbroken supporters, but I still don't regret it. The timer for Lee Jae-myung's trial is going on without stopping.

At the press conference, the floor leadership, including floor leader Kwon Sung-dong, who has virtually pressured former representative Han to step down, also visited and saw him off.

Former representative Han left the National Assembly after greeting his supporters, and in the process, he left the word "I don't give up."

He then left a message saying that he would do his best until the end to make this country do well.

With Han's resignation, the people's power is now going to the emergency committee system, right?

[Reporter]
Yes, it is the sixth time since the launch of the People's Power, and it is already the fifth time in the Yoon Suk Yeol government.

Several people inside and outside the party were expected to be the chairman of the emergency committee, but the general meeting of lawmakers, which lasted more than two hours, did not reach a conclusion.

Floor leader Kwon Sung-dong said the discussion was focused on necessary qualities such as crisis management, vision presentation ability, and sharp attack, and decided to hold a general meeting of lawmakers again the day after tomorrow (18th).

When a new leadership is launched, the biggest task is to deal with internal feuds in the party, which is divided into pro-impeachment, pro-Yoon Seok-yeolgye, and pro-Yoon Seok-yeolgye.

Apart from internal strife, the party is making efforts not to lose its presence against the large opposition party in order to take the lead in the political situation.

At the general meeting of the lawmakers, he adopted a resolution urging the judiciary to quickly rule on representative Lee Jae-myung.

The second trial of violation of the Public Official Election Act should be sentenced within three months according to the relevant law.

In his public remarks, Kwon Sung-dong, the floor leader, has set the day that impeachment cannot be a permit for Lee Jae-myung to run for president, so let's listen to his remarks.

[Kwon Seong-dong / People's Power Floor Leader: I hope you don't fall for the presidential play as if you're already the president. The president's impeachment cannot be a permit to run for the presidential election, covering up the sins of representative Lee Jae-myung.]

There seems to be a fierce war of nerves between the ruling and opposition parties over the leadership of state affairs, so what is the atmosphere of the Democratic Party?

[Reporter]
Following yesterday, Chairman Lee Jae-myung reiterated his call for the National Security Council to participate in the ruling party at this morning's meeting.

In particular, today, the leadership seems to be reaching out, saying that it can be taken by the people or limited to the economy or people's livelihood.

But at the end of the meeting, he said, "We should not let an unrepentant conservative party defending martial law come back to power," so let's hear it for ourselves.

[Lee Jae-myung / Democratic Party leader: I defend this maniacal act that can't be called crazy. And I'm doing my best to bring him back to life. Aren't you collectively trying to get that power back to life?]

The Democratic Party is also focusing on so-called "leaving the power of the ruling party" by driving the impeachment momentum.

The Democratic Party of Korea, which claimed that the power of the people is no longer the ruling party due to the suspension of the president's duties, has defined martial law as a "civil war" and is conducting strong attacks through special prosecutors and parliamentary investigations.

Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the National Assembly, repeatedly emphasized that it is the first party, pressing Acting President Han Deok-soo to accept the independent counsel for the rebellion and the independent counsel for Kim Gun-hee.

[Park Chan-dae / Floor Leader of the Democratic Party of Korea: Our National Assembly, especially our Democratic Party, has a heavy responsibility as the largest party in the National Assembly. Yoon Suk Yeol is impeached, but we have a lot of things to deal with.

The appointment of a constitutional judge with three vacancies is also being repeatedly pressed for the ruling party's cooperation in accordance with its plan to complete it within this year.

Rep. Kim Han-kyu of the Democratic Party said he will hold a two-day hearing on the 23rd and 24th, and push for the goal of processing the appointment motion at the plenary session on the 30th.

However, the ruling party drew a line, saying that the schedule of the hearing reported to the media through media announcements was not agreed upon by the ruling and opposition parties.

Floor leader Kwon and representative Lee Jae-myung, who act as party leaders, will have a meeting the day after tomorrow to see each other, and attention is being paid to whether they will find an agreement on the floor issue.
