"South Korean troops can't accept Dokdo defense training"

The Japanese government protested the South Korean navy's Dokdo defense exercise near Dokdo yesterday.

Japan's Foreign Ministry said Hiroyuki Namazu, director of the Asia Pacific Bureau, complained to Kim Jang-hyun, director of the Korean Embassy in Japan, and Daisuke Mibae, director of the Korean Embassy in Japan, complained to Kim Sang-hoon, director of the Asia-Pacific Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He then said, "Given that Dokdo is Japan's territory both historically and internationally, the South Korean military's training is unacceptable and is very regrettable."
