Candidates for the chairman of the sports association, who oppose Lee Ki-heung's third consecutive term, have begun their first steps to discuss unification.

Among the candidates who announced their intention to run for the 42nd chairman of the sports association, Park Chang-beom, former president of the Korea Wushu Association, Kang Shin-wook, emeritus professor of Dankook University, Yoo Seung Min, former president of the Korea Table Tennis Association, and Ahn Sang-soo, former mayor of Incheon, held an emergency meeting to unify the candidates.

At a meeting arranged by candidate Park Chang-beom, the candidates confirmed their consensus on the unification of the "anti-Lee Ki-heung solidarity" and exchanged opinions, including specific implementation measures related to the unification of candidates.

The election for the president of the Korea Sports Council will be held on January 14 next year, and candidates will be registered for two days from the 24th.
