The controversial figure is Yang Teng-bo, a 50-year-old Chinese businessman.
The British government has denied entry to the country since late 2021, believing Yang Teng-bo is working for the United Front Department, a secretive Chinese government organization.
Yang Teng-bo recently filed a lawsuit to cancel the entry ban and lost, and things got bigger during the trial.
It has been revealed that it has been linked to the Chinese Communist Party, including documents related to the United Front Work Department found on digital devices.
Yang Teng-bo, who has also met with former Prime Minister David Cameron and others in the past, claimed that he did not do anything illegal and that the spying allegations were not true at all.
China's foreign ministry also refuted the claim, saying it was absurd.
