The Ministry of Science and ICT announced that it invited more than 100 heads of major science and technology conferences at the Korea Science and Technology Center in Seoul this morning (19th) to hold a "Science and Technology Conference" and discuss the direction of R&D policy in 2025.
To change the direction of R&D innovation to leading R&D, the Ministry of Science and ICT proposed four directions: research stability and predictability, increased R&D efficiency, and strengthened field communication.
In addition, it plans to create new tasks such as "pioneering research" and provide practical institutional support by excluding one task per person and abolishing interim inspections.
The Ministry of Science and ICT said it has been discovering key science and technology policies and collecting on-site opinions with the conference since last year, explaining that Yoo Sang-im, the Minister of Science and ICT, held five relay meetings with major conferences this year and prepared a direction for R&D innovation based on this.
