President Yoon Suk Yeol has not received the impeachment trial documents sent by the Constitutional Court for five days.

The Constitutional Court just held a briefing.

I'll connect you to a reporter and find out more.

Reporter Kwon Junsu,

[Reporter]
Yes, it's in the Constitutional Court.

[Anchor]
The documents weren't delivered today?

[Reporter]
Yes,
It has been confirmed that President Yoon
has not received documents on the impeachment trial for five days.

The Constitutional Court re-sent the mail yesterday, explaining that the post office postman visited the presidential residence today, but was rejected again.

Since last Monday, the Constitutional Court has been sending President Yoon an impeachment resolution and a decision to refer him to the preparatory process.

It has used human, daily special delivery mail, and electronic document system, but it has not been delivered.

Yesterday, a constitutional official visited the presidential residence in person, but failed to deliver the documents,
I also tried to pass it to the security staff at
but it was rejected.

The Constitutional Court said yesterday that it shared the general perception of the delivery of President Yoon's documents in the judge's review,
It said it is also discussing the proceedings, including preparation for the
argument.

There is a week left to prepare for the first hearing, so the process may not proceed properly, right?

[Reporter]
That's right.

The Constitutional Court plans to watch the situation because the delay in the preparation date has not been confirmed yet.

If the document is not delivered, the preparation date scheduled for the 27th may be delayed. It is pointed out that the process of both the investigation into the alleged rebellion and the impeachment trial may be slow due to the prolonged appointment of President

Yoon as a lawyer.

The court is due to announce its final position on not receiving impeachment proceedings next Monday.

There is also a possibility that it will be treated as a service.

The method of placing documents at the place of delivery and considering them to be delivered is discussed.

If so, the service will take effect, and President Yoon must submit a response within seven days and submit the minutes of the Cabinet meeting and the verification plan by the 24th.
