Candidate Ma was appointed by Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae while serving as a senior judge at the Seoul High Court after serving as a senior judge at the Supreme Court, and President Yoon Suk Yeol asked the National Assembly to agree to the appointment on the 12th before the impeachment motion was passed.
