Military Reconnaissance Satellite No. 3, Space Launch Vehicle Falcon 9 Launched
Three reconnaissance satellites launched in a year...Cluster Operation First Step
Two more satellites to be launched by next year...Strengthen monitoring capabilities
Our military flew the third spy satellite into space and succeeded in communicating with the ground station.
With the two satellites already in operation and the first step toward the so-called "colony operation" that operates simultaneously in several orbits, the eye for monitoring North Korea's trends is expected to become tighter.

The engine ignites under a long rocket, and the projectile flies into space emitting flames and smoke.
Our military reconnaissance satellite No. 3 is being launched from the California Space Force base on a projectile Falcon 9.
The reconnaissance satellite, which was launched at 8:34 p.m. our time, was powered by three engine injections and succeeded in entering space orbit in 51 minutes.
[Seok Jong-gun / Director of Defense Acquisition Program Administration: (The reconnaissance satellite No. 3) succeeded in communicating with the domestic ground station and confirmed that the satellite is in good condition]
Our military reconnaissance satellite system operates image radar using radio waves, SAR satellites, electro-optical and infrared sensors, and EO/IR satellites together.
It is also called the 'SAR-EO (425) business' after its satellite name.
With "colony operations" running simultaneously on multiple orbits, you can minimize weather impacts and look into ways that are more suitable for your target characteristics.
Following the first reconnaissance satellite in December last year, the second successful satellite separation in April and the third this time, our military took the first step toward cluster management.
Surveillance capabilities are expected to be further strengthened with two more to be launched next year, four image radar satellites, and one electro-optical and infrared satellite.
[Seok Jong-gun / Director of Defense Acquisition Program Administration: North Korea can be monitored dozens of times a day if military reconnaissance satellites No. 4 and No. 5 and ultra-small satellite systems are launched in the future]
The reconnaissance satellite of No. 3 plans to go through initial operational plans for 15 days, including the process of opening solar panels, and then become electric after evaluation.
