During the day yesterday (21st), dozens of farmers, including tractors and cargo vehicles, were blocked by police at Namtaeryeong Pass in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to condemn the emergency martial law.

When the citizens heard the news, they joined the scene, and the rally to walk the way continued throughout the night.

Reporter Kim Lee-young is back.

Citizens with colorful cheering sticks filled the four-lane road.

"Get out of the car! Get out of the car!"

The opposite four lanes are lined with tractors from the National Farmers' Union from each province to urge Yoon Suk Yeol to punish the president.

They planned to march to the presidential residence in Hannam-dong and the rally site calling for the impeachment of Gwanghwamun, but it failed when the police blocked the access road to Seoul for fear of traffic inconvenience.

[Chung Chung-sik / Tractor Driving Farmers] I think it's a very problem to block the values of the basic constitution, the freedom of assembly association. I don't think there's any problem with entering Seoul....]

As citizens gathered at the news, the whole area turned into a rally site, and voices criticizing the martial law situation continued.

[Cheon Min-kyung / Naeson-dong, Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do: I don't know what kind of anxiety and danger a tractor has and how many dozens of vehicles on the task force block the tractor's march.]

The confrontation between farmers' protesters who drove tractors to Shanghai and police trying to stop it continued throughout the night.

Some lawmakers came to the scene at the news that the overnight protests continued.

As the eight-lane road of Namtae-ryeong Pass was closed, vehicles passing through the area were diverted.

It was also reported that some people were arrested by the police at one point due to the confusion between citizens and the police.
