Saudi Arabia has twice warned of the danger of the suspect in connection with the Christmas market car crash in Germany.

Germany's public broadcaster ARD reported that Saudi Arabia sent warnings to Germany's Federal Intelligence last year and this year about suspects, combining local media reports.

The intelligence was sent to security authorities in Saxony-Anhalt, but it was not clear what action the authorities had taken, it added.

The suspect posted several posts on social media explicitly threatening violence, which led to a series of reports from citizens, but it was found that the authorities did not classify him as a dangerous person or an extremist.
