The ruling and opposition parties clashed over the already agreed-upon ruling and opposition party government consultative body, expressing disagreement over how it was organized.

The issue of appointing a constitutional judge also led to a war of words.

Reporter Hong Min-ki covered it.

The Democratic Party made it clear that the main body of the ruling and opposition parties' government consultative body should be the "party leader," not the floor leader level.

This is a national emergency, and I heard that the floor leader can meet at the National Assembly at any time.

[Park Chan-dae / Floor Leader of the main opposition Minjoo Party: It is a bit inappropriate for a regular system of floor leader and chairman to take place in stabilizing state affairs....]

The Democratic Party of Korea gathered the government and the ruling party and criticized them as "the quasi-dong of the remnants of the civil war" and set the day not to turn a blind eye to the people's will of "President Yoon's dismissal."

He also repeatedly pressed for the appointment of a constitutional judge, citing the possibility of impeaching Han Deok-soo, the acting president, saying that "suppression of civil war" could take precedence over "stabilization of state affairs."

In response, Kwon Sung-dong, acting chairman of the People's Power Party, said that the formation of a consultative body is not something to fight for, and suggested that the floor leaders of the ruling and opposition parties meet immediately.

There was also room for agreement, mentioning the possibility of the party leader's participation in the council.

[Kwon Seong-dong / Acting leader of People's Power Party: (The chairman suggested) that the party leader attend the first meeting and the floor leader or policy committee chairman participate in the working-level consultation to discuss major issues.]

However, he repeatedly stressed that Han Deok-soo has no authority over the appointment of constitutional judges, and if the appointment motion passes through the National Assembly, he announced that he would review the request for a power dispute trial.

The National Assembly, which is in charge of impeaching President Yoon, recommends a constitutional judge, which is the same as a prosecutor choosing a judge to take his case.

National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik is also said to be in the position that he can meet anytime if the leaders of the ruling and opposition parties agree, and some analysts say that the war of nerves between the ruling and opposition parties over the parliamentary consultative body is soon in contact with the struggle for leadership in the impeachment process.
