Police raid 2 council members suspected of rebate for 'electronic blackboard'

The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency's Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime Unit raided the residence of two city council members suspected of rebate for "electronic blackboard delivery" and the city council's office.

Earlier, the police booked two incumbent Incheon City Council members and two suppliers on charges of taking bribes from electronic board suppliers.

The police suspect that they exchanged money so that a specific company could be selected in connection with the electronic board supply project promoted by the Incheon Office of Education.

On the 26th of last month, the police, which conducted a forced investigation against the supplier official, will analyze the confiscated material and investigate the city council members further.
