Political circles are in conflict with the ruling party, suggesting the impeachment of Acting President Han Deok-soo, who is considering whether to promulgate the "Civil War Special Counsel Act."
The National Assembly is also holding confirmation hearings for candidates to fill the vacancy of the Constitutional Court, but the ruling party is not participating.

The opposition party is pressuring acting Han Deok-soo every day, right?
[Reporter]
From today, the Democratic Party of Korea has launched an emergency action at the party level, calling for a swift investigation into the president's arrest and an impeachment trial.
Acting President Han Deok-soo called for promulgating the Insurrection Special Prosecutor Act and the First Lady Special Prosecutor Act, which passed the plenary session of the National Assembly by tomorrow, and requesting the recommendation of candidates for the permanent special prosecution.
Floor leader Park Chan-dae has repeatedly hinted at impeachment, saying he will not overlook the so-called "insurrection remnants"' time-dragging operations, and that he will immediately take steps to hold Han accountable if he does not promulgate the independent counsel law by tomorrow.
[Park Chan-dae / Minjoo Party floor leader: The delay in the investigation and impeachment proceedings is an extension of the civil war and an act of plotting a second civil war. The longer the civil war, the greater the national confusion and national damage will inevitably increase exponentially.]
The power of the people is sticking to the position that they cannot accept it, saying, "Why do we need a special prosecutor when investigative agencies are competitively investigating well?"
Acting party leader Kwon Sung-dong accused the Democratic Party of staging an "impeachment hostage" to stab at any time with a majority of seats if it does not do what it wants.
He argued that the impeachment of an acting president needs to go through procedures comparable to those of the president, not the prime minister, and that 200 votes in favor of the impeachment of President Yoon Suk Yeol are needed.
[Kwon Seong-dong / Acting People's Power] No matter how much the Democratic Party interprets the constitutional impeachment process, I hope National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik and the Secretariat will take center stage in this regard. I will never be swayed by the impeachment politics of the Democrats who play with the Constitution and the Constitutional Court.]
In the midst of this, Chairman Woo Won-sik demanded that Han Deok-soo fulfill his legal obligations by today, saying that it is difficult to understand that acting Han Deok-soo has not requested the recommendation of candidates for permanent special prosecutors for 10 days for a rebellion that the National Assembly has decided on.
In the morning, the ruling party called the floor leaders of the ruling and opposition parties to urge the formation of a special committee for the parliamentary investigation of the martial law crisis, but the ruling party said it needs to discuss whether to participate in the parliamentary investigation.
The ruling and opposition parties agreed to hold an additional plenary session on the 26th and 31st, and on the 26th, they decided to hold the first national council meeting involving the representatives of the two major parties, the chairman of the National Assembly and the government.

The Constitutional Judge's hearing is also being held by the opposition alone, right?
[Reporter]
The confirmation hearing for candidate Ma Eun-hyuk, recommended by the Democratic Party, was held, but the ruling party, which has opposed the recruitment of constitutional judges, did not appear at the hearing room.
Instead, first-term lawmakers of the People's Power held seminars and argued that it was an abuse of authority for the acting president to appoint a new judge.
The National Assembly, which passed the presidential impeachment bill, argued that it was wrong to recommend judges directly, but if the opposition party pushes ahead with the appointment process, it plans to seek a power dispute trial from the Constitutional Court on its own to argue against its unconstitutionality.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party plans to vote on the appointment motion at the plenary session as soon as the hearing process for the three candidates for the Constitutional Court, which runs until tomorrow, is over.
Chairman Lee Jae-myung said at the morning meeting that the ruling party did not go away from agreeing with the civil war that it ignored the process of appointing constitutional judges and adhered to the strategy of holding out.

In the National Assembly, the Public Administration and Security Committee was convened to find out the truth about the martial law, right?
[Reporter]
The National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee, which is in charge of the police, convened a plenary meeting to ask questions about pending issues.
A series of inquiries have been made to officials at the National Investigation Headquarters investigating the emergency martial law situation to see if the investigation is going well.
Officials from the National Election Commission, the agency in charge of the National Security Commission, also attended the meeting.
At the time of martial law, institutional damage or fraudulent election conspiracy theories put forward by President Yoon Suk Yeol were on the cutting board.
People's Power also pointed out that the NEC's recent decision to allow the posting of banners expressing ruling party lawmakers as "civil war accomplices" and not allow banners criticizing Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung is biased.
In response, Kim Yong-bin, secretary-general of the National Election Commission, said, "It was a hasty decision overall," and said he would put it on hold for now, and announce the criteria for interpretation of the authority through an internal meeting in the afternoon.
