Lee Jae-myung, chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, criticized acting president Han Deok-soo, saying that he has no intention of running state affairs properly and that he seems to have no intention of protecting the insurgent forces.

Lee said he expected the prime minister to help stabilize state affairs at a general meeting of lawmakers, but eventually declared that he would do nothing to oppose the people's power.

He then pointed out that the refusal of the independent counsel means that it will not go through the process of holding accountable for anti-state acts such as civil war and foreign exchange attraction, and that delaying the appointment of a constitutional judge is an act of national constitution to destroy the constitutional order by delaying the formation of a constitutional institution.

He also said, "The power of the people seems to have decided to go to war with the people," adding, "It is more like nonsense to mislead the people as if the state council member acting on behalf of the president is a separate constitutional institution equivalent to the president."
