[Seoul] Seoul Gangseo Wetland Ecological Park Designated as an Ecological and Landscape Conservation Area

The Seoul Metropolitan Government has designated the Gangseo Wetland Ecological Park area, where summer migratory birds, Kkapjakdo, visit and where short-necked beetles live, as an "ecological and landscape conservation area."

The establishment of ecological and landscape conservation areas is the first in 15 years since 2009, and the city said half of the total 18 places were designated during Oh's tenure.

Gangseo Wetland Ecological Park was created in 2008 with the Han River Renaissance Project, and habitat conservation activities were carried out, with 53 wild bird species and 223 plant and wildlife species, including endangered species.The city of

plans to start researching the management plan for ecological and landscape conservation areas next year and regularly observe precise changes in animals and plants and restore the ecology of damaged areas.
