Hong Joon Pyo "Prepare for all possibilities, including early presidential election"

Daegu Mayor Hong Joon Pyo hinted at running for president, citing the spirit of the times of national unity and advanced Korea.

Mayor Hong said at a press conference today (26th) that he is preparing for all possibilities, including if an early presidential election is held, and if the presidential impeachment is rejected by the Constitutional Court and this administration returns.

At the same time, he confronted U.S. President-elect Trump and claimed that he was the only one in the ruling party who could handle Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.

When asked about the vacuum in the administration caused by running for president, Daegu City Government said it has laid the foundation for innovation in the past two and a half years, adding that it will take enough without the mayor.

Regarding the allegations related to Myung Tae-kyun, he repeatedly denied the allegations of involvement, saying that his voice would not come out even if he searched all of Myung's mobile phones.
