Refugees in Gaza are experiencing a second winter, with Israel and Hamas blaming each other for the delay in the ceasefire agreement.

Babies with low immunity are dying of hypothermia one after another even though they have to spend a cold and humid winter without clothes or blankets.

Reporter Hong Joo-ye reports.

I try to repair the torn-down tent here and there, but it is not enough to prevent the strong winter wind.

There is also a lack of firewood, so plastic waste is picked up and used to make a fire.

The winter in Gaza is cold and humid.

But far from blankets, there are many children who go barefoot because they don't have socks.

[Leda Abu Zara / Gaza Refugee: No decent clothes, no socks, nothing. I didn't expect to live like this. My house in the north was nice.]

Babies with weak immune systems cannot stand the cold and are dying one after another.

In the last 48 hours, the hospital has received three bodies of newborn babies, all of which were hypothermia.

[Ahmed al-Farra / Nasser Hospital Pediatrics Director: It is a terrible example of how unfair wars affect the people of Gaza, especially children. Babies cannot stand low temperatures.]

Gaza's health ministry says more than 17,600 children have lost their lives since the war began in October last year, as they have to overcome bombing starvation, disease and cold.

The United Nations also warned that one child is dying every hour in Gaza.
