Acting President Choi Sang-mok, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance
The issue of appointing a constitutional judge for the impeachment of the acting president who said, "I will do my best to stabilize the state affairs" remains.
In his first message to the nation, Acting President Choi Sang-mok emphasized the importance of reducing chaos in state affairs.
However, the reason for the impeachment of acting Prime Minister Han Deok-soo has become Choi's burden.
The choice of acting Choi is likely to deepen political uncertainty.

The bizarre situation of acting as an acting authority has become a reality.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Choi Sang-mok is the acting President and the Minister of Strategy and Finance.
In his first public statement, Acting President Choi said that minimizing confusion in state affairs is paramount and that he will do his best to stabilize state affairs.
At the same time, he stressed that he will do his best to ensure that the daily lives of the people are not shaken, including solid security, an unshakable economy, and a stable security order.
He gave an emergency order to all ministries to do his best to prevent the country's safety and people's daily lives from being shaken, and presided over the National Security Council.
[Choi Sang-mok / Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance: Please take advantage of the chaotic political situation to be prepared for North Korea's provocations, propaganda, and agitation that can be carried out at any time.]
In particular, he asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs to communicate closely with major countries ahead of the Trump administration's launch.
[Choi Sang-mok / Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance: The international situation surrounding the Korean Peninsula is severe. We hope that you will work hard to cooperate with your allies and the international community while operating alliance cooperation between the U.S. and South Korea.]
There is also an observation that Acting President Choi Sang-mok strongly opposed martial law at a Cabinet meeting just before the declaration of emergency martial law, so there is less political uncertainty than Acting President Han Deok-soo.
However, the issue of the appointment of a constitutional judge, the reason for the impeachment of Han, remains.
The Democratic Party of Korea says that if Acting President Choi does not cooperate prospectively, it will have no choice but to file another impeachment.
