The Paju-Seoul Station section north of GTX-A of the metropolitan area's metropolitan express railway opened today.

With GTX-A, the travel time from Paju to Seoul Station was 22 minutes, less than half of the existing subway and one-third less than the bus.

For now, it will operate every 10 minutes during commuting time, but three more trains will be added in the first half of next year to reduce the interval between buses to 6 minutes and 15 seconds.

GTX-A costs 4,450 won from Paju to Seoul Station, depending on the section.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport expects that the demand for weekday boarding between Paju and Seoul Station will be 50,37 people, more than double the 25,500 between Suseo and Dongtan.
