When the National Assembly passed the impeachment of acting president Han Deok-soo, the BBC, a British public broadcaster, announced the news with "emergency news."
The BBC said the situation was chaotic at the time of the vote and predicted that political deadlock and instability in South Korea will intensify in the future.
Also pointed out that while the ruling and opposition parties blame each other, the won's value against the dollar fell to its lowest level since the financial crisis 16 years ago.
The British daily Telegraph also reported that the impeachment motion is pushing South Korea into uncharted territory, throwing it into further chaos.
At the same time, he analyzed that South Korea is raising concerns about a power vacuum at a time when it faces considerable economic and diplomatic difficulties.
The Guardian pointed out that Congress has turned into a battleground for determining the political future of South Korea.
It is also hard to predict that the coming weeks will be less noisy than the past month.
The French daily Le Monde also said it was the second impeachment against the Korean leader in two weeks, adding to confusion in Korea's political situation.
Le Monde said the key is how the constitutional court will be formed in the future, noting whether to fill the three vacant judges or go to a six-member system.
France's Le Parisien and other media are also watching the impact of a second impeachment, saying South Korea is going through a turbulent period.
