While 179 passengers were killed and two crew members were injured in the Jeju Air plane disaster, 133 of the victims were identified.

Fire authorities said the number of identified victims increased to 133 as of 2:30 a.m. today (30th).

Police and fire authorities are taking DNA from the bereaved families and identifying the remaining victims.

Of the 179 deaths, 84 were male and 85 were female, and 10 were not gender identified.

Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 was scheduled to leave Bangkok, Thailand at 1:30 a.m. yesterday (29th) and land at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do at 8:30 a.m., but it exploded during an emergency landing.

At that time, the plane had six crew members and 175 passengers, and two of them were Thai.
