'National team coach failed' Foye Jeonbuk's new head coach "Train to Korea is destiny"

Gus Foye, the new head coach of Jeonbuk, who was mentioned until the last minute as a candidate for the Korean national soccer team, defined his trip to Korea as his fate.

When asked at the inaugural press conference if he thought he was destined to come to Korea in the end, Foye answered, "Yes."

He then said that he believes in fate sometimes and thinks that everything happens for a reason, and that he will enjoy his life in Jeonbuk.

Foyet has a career in English professional football, Sunderland, Spain's La Liga Real Betis, and French Ligue 1 Bordeaux.

Coach Foye was belatedly known to have been a foreign candidate who was mentioned as a strong candidate by the Korea Football Association's Power Enhancement Committee in the process of appointing Hong Myung-bo as the head coach of the Korean national team.

Jeonbuk, which will be led by coach Foye, built a reputation as the most wins in the K League 1, but managed to stay after finishing 10th in the regular league after poor performance last season.
