According to Panama's presidential office, President Jose Raul Moulino, former President Laurentino Cortisso and Canal Minister Jose Ramon Ikasa attended the 25th anniversary of the transfer.
In his commemorative speech, President Mulino highlighted the historical achievements in the operation of the Panama Canal and emphasized the need to ensure the neutral management of the route.
"The canal will forever be in Panama's hands," he said. "Let's face the challenges ahead, looking forward to the future with a sustainable vision."
