Acting President Choi Sang-mok said he would convert data extracted from the flight control room voice recorder of the aircraft where the recent disaster occurred into voice by tomorrow (3rd).

Acting President Choi Sang-mok made the announcement at the 7th Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting at the Seoul Government Complex today (2nd), and said that the analysis of flight recorders will begin soon with the participation of our investigators.

The voice recorder data contains communication between control agencies and crew members, and the sound of aircraft operation, and the flight recorder data contains detailed flight information, which can be a key data to determine the cause of the accident.

Acting President Choi Sang-mok also revealed that 24 victims were placed at the funeral home as of yesterday, adding that he will continue to provide support for bereaved families after the funeral process, especially regarding the vacation of office workers and soldiers suggested by the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, he said indiscriminate posts and malicious comments about victims and their families on social media are causing the bereaved families to suffer, refraining from doing so and asking law enforcement authorities to take stern legal action on defamation issues.
