[Seoul] The speed of rental housing reorganization in Sanggye Village, Seoul...demolition by the end of this year

Seoul Sanggye Maddle Complex, an old public rental housing complex, will be reborn as a high-quality public housing with 363 households in 2028.

The Seoul Housing and Urban Innovation Corporation said that the approval of the Sanggye Village Complex Reorganization Project plan led to the demolition of 170 household complexes more than 30 years old and the construction of public housing with two basement floors and 19 ground floors.

Community facilities and green spaces will be built inside the complex under the theme of "Everyone's Park," and facilities such as small libraries, fitness centers, resident cafes and guesthouses will be installed inside the household under the "Seoul Rental Housing Innovation Plan" announced by Mayor Oh Se-hoon.

SH Corporation said Sanggye Village will be an advanced model for the refurbishment of old rental housing complexes in the future, stressing that it will improve the housing conditions of old public rental housing to boost the supply of high-quality housing and contribute to housing stability.
